1. Do more music related work
Since music is part of my IB subject package, I've decided that I need to take it more seriously. It has always been a subject that I'm good at and that I enjoy but never really work for. So this year, I'll do my best and work hard with something I enjoy (but not too much, it needs to stay enjoyable).
2. Keep improving my photography and editing skills
Photography is another hobby that I really enjoy but sadly don't know much about. Don't get me wrong, I have done read plenty of websites and books explaining all about ISO, aperture and shutter speed but I feel like I've never really tried to use them. I always keep my camera on manual settings because we often disagree on certain factors within the image but I still don't really know how my camera functions.
3. Work harder on academical subjects - but don't worry too much
Okay, this one might seem a little cliche but I really do need to work harder. I'm struggling in most of the non-creative subject (mainly maths and economics) and I really want to prove to myself that I'm not as bad as I think which is where the second part of this resolution comes in. I am probably one of the biggest worriers on the planet. I can have sleepless nights because I haven't finished part of my homework yet even though it's only due next week. I think it's more about the fact that I have a fear of failure rather than anything else.
4. Get a better idea of my personal style
This one is rather.. personal. But I feel like I don't really know who I am. I know that I need to start thinking about university's but that is rather difficult if I don't even have the slightest clue in which direction I want to move. My brother studies international business and my sister studies European law, so I always thought that I would head into the academical field myself but I'm not very sure anymore. People keep telling me that I will find my passion and that it will all be clear next year but I know myself. I am incapable of making any decisions. ever.
5. Finish writing my bucket list
People have told me that I am far to young to be thinking about what I want to achieve before I die, but I like to think of them as milestones. I like to have certain goals that I can aim to reach in life so that I can live up to something. Sadly, making a bucket list isn't as easy as I'd hoped.
6. Practice HTML coding
I absolutely hate the amount of time it takes me to edit something on my blog! I suppose I can only blame myself.
7. Blog more
This one is quite obvious. I have been really bad at keeping my blog up to date and I've been especially bad at doing different types of posts. I definitely need to do more DIY posts!
8. Have more confidence
This last but definitely not least resolution is actually the most important one of all. I have missed so many fantastic opportunities due to a lack of confidence.
I hope you have a great new years eve.
Cheers to another year!
Happy 2015
